Everyone, well most people want to earn as much as possible, that is human nature. We do recommend that when you are in the process of initially trying to secure your first role (contracting) that you don't hold out to the highest bidder if it means weeks elapsing for the following reasons:
- Contracting offers are usually open only for a few days due to the urgency of filling the role;
- If you start playing agents off against each other this can result in agents becoming reluctant in dealing with you;
- Whilst you have experience in your field, firms note that you have no experience in London;
- Finally when you arrive in London, you will soon note that it is one of the most expensive cities in the world so earning the £ and building up your London experience as soon as possible will lead to more £ down the track.
