London has five major airports, so it's always good practice to find out in advance which airport you're arriving at as the distance between the centre of London and airports (and between airports) is significant. Here's some information to at least get you started on planning how to get to where you need to after arriving in London from one of five major London airports:

Heathrow Airport:

There are four terminals at Heathrow. Compared to other airports around the world, it's not the most glamorous and state of art. Depending on your airline it will dictate which terminal you will arrive at. To get to central London from Heathrow in the shortest amount of time there are two options:
- Option 1: Catch the tube via the Underground train system (tube) where Heathrow is located in zone six and is on the Piccadilly line. This will take approx 1 hour+ to Green Park tube station. The approx cost of this would be approx £8.00.
- Option 2: Catch the Heathrow Express train (www.heathrowexpress.co.uk; +44 (0) 845-600 1515) travels to and from Paddington station every 15 minutes. The cost is usually up to £17 for a single ticket. It's pricey, but definitely worth it as it's comfortable and saves you the hassle of carrying your luggage onto one of the most busiest underground train systems in the world! Trust me. You'll thank us later!
Gatwick Airport:
